Chapter Recruitment

This past year, Recruitment Week was held from August 11 to August 16, 2019. Consisting of four rounds that ranged from Open House, Philanthropy, Sisterhood, to Preference Day, potential new members were exposed to the ins and outs of the qualities that Kappa Kappa Gamma values within not only our members, but our service and involvement around campus as well. After the last day of recruitment, the potential new members preference up to two houses they feel best suit them. Sunday, also known as "Bid Day," takes place on Faurot Field. The potential new members receive information here of which house has offered them a "bid" to be a member of their chapter. Then, new members walk back to their new sorority house where the active members are anxiously waiting to meet and congratulate them. The active and new members will then  meet their new sisters and celebrate!

Open House Round

During Open House round, potential new members were able to experience firsthand the diverse personalities and levels of  involvement among our active members on Mizzou’s campus. These first two days of recruitment showed potential new members all that Greek Life has to offer!

Philanthropy Round

Philanthropy Round focuses on educating the potential new members about Kappa Kappa Gamma’s awesome philanthropy, as well as our local and national beneficiaries. Active members were able to share their personal experiences at Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, Reading is Fundamental events, and even how the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation has helped their families through various personal hardships.
